Quaking Aspen Bowls
Quaking Aspen (Populus tremuloides) harvested from the mountains of Idaho near Yellowstone National Park. The lines and coloring included in the pieces are the result of the tree rotting from the inside out. If this rotting process is allowed to continue the center portion will become unusable. Most mature Aspen trees left standing will eventually become completely hollow.
